2010 AGM Executive Committee Elections

It is a provision of the Chamber’s Constitution that all Executive Committee positions are stood down annually. The current incumbents of course are eligible to re nominate for election to the new Executive.

Those interested in nominating for the 2010/2011 year should contact me directly as soon as possible. Time is running out! We will be providing all interested financial members with an Executive Committee Position Description to better inform what is expected and required by those contemplating nominating.

Once you have determined to nominate, we will profile you in Chamber Chatter along with your short BIO and why you wish to be part of the management team. We will include your photo too. This will help others know who you are prior to the AGM and assist the voting process.

All nominees need to ensure they have the time and energy the role demands. It is certainly not a vehicle for self promotion, rather a firm commitment to this organisation, our wider business community and of course our members. Executive meetings are held every month. Attendance is expected regularly, and at our various functions as often as possible. Once elected you become part of the leadership to help develop strategies and clear directions for this organisation. It is important other members have access to share ideas and raise matters directly with you.
