Charity Challange

On 12th September, Bernie Fehon from Tactical Solutions will be kayaking from Wallacia to Penrith weir 21 kms. Travelling with Darren Latty a local real estate agent. Mario from Hurricane studios has encouraged Bernie to do the challenge and has been training him as part of his 40 day challenge www.hurricanestudios.com.au
Bernie is looking for sponsors to raise money for the PENRITH VALLEY FUND Christmas Appeal.

This appeal helps Barnardos, Fusion & Community Kitchen, each year the list grows for the amount help the Penrith Valley Fund gives at Christmas. Hopefully this year the Penrith Community Kitchen in the new premise of PCYC will have a bigger and better Christmas.

 Work Watch

This week sees the launch on Vintage FM 87.6 of a new community program called “Work Watch”. It will be broadcast during the Breakfast and Drive sessions.

Work Watch will give listeners looking to re-enter the work place a vehicle to promote themselves to a mass audience through a work wanted announcement.

Nepean Art Society have the opening of their 2010 Spring Exhibition and Sale on Friday September 10th, at 7pm.
It will be held at The Cottage , 3 North Street, Penrith. The Exhibition will be open all weekend. Let Len and Judy Joyce know if you are especially interested in attending the opening.
